How Kakobuy compares with Mulebuy
Kakobuy is the agent that feels most like Mulebuy did. Both grew out of the same spreadsheet culture, both made QC photos free and fast, and both kept a long free storage window; Kakobuy's is around 100 days against Mulebuy's 90. Kakobuy goes a step further on photos: many of its QC images are open to the public, so you can often see how a listing looked for other buyers before you order. Rehearsal packing exists under the same name for a small fixed fee, roughly ¥20.
Where Mulebuy advertised a clean 0% commission, Kakobuy does not publish a fee schedule at all, which makes like-for-like comparison awkward. Independent reviewers also say its dispute handling is slow when something goes wrong. Its Trustpilot score is 4.1 from 281 reviews, a much smaller base than Mulebuy's. In search terms Kakobuy is enormous, about 466,000 searches a month worldwide, and roughly four in five of those come from Poland.
Can Kakobuy take over if Mulebuy stays down?
Yes, for most spreadsheet buyers. It handles the same Taobao, Weidian and 1688 links, it was confirmed working on 31 August after a brief mid-August outage that triggered closure rumours, and its links accept a full marketplace address, so converted Mulebuy rows open cleanly. The caveat is the dispute record: begin with a small order and see how a return or a problem is handled before trusting it with a full haul.
Kakobuy can take over a Mulebuy spreadsheet; test its problem handling with a small first order.

Shipping to Italy and the rest of Europe with Kakobuy
Kakobuy's line list changes often, so check the Italian and EU tax-included lines on the day you ship. With the €3 per-category duty and 22% IVA for Italy, a tax-included line usually beats a cheaper postal one once door charges are added.
Before you pay Kakobuy for shipping to the EU, add the €3 duty per item category (parcels up to €150, since July 2026) and VAT on goods, shipping and duty, 22% in Italy; the import duty calculator turns a Kakobuy quote into a delivered price, and the Milan page covers Italy's buyer-fine rule.
Kakobuy spreadsheets
Demand for Kakobuy spreadsheets is about 4,400 US searches a month, against roughly 466,200 monthly searches for Kakobuy worldwide, with the biggest audiences in Poland (79%), the US (6%), Germany (3%). Spreadsheets for any agent age quickly; prefer one with a recent edit date and a column of raw links, and get it from the person who made it.
You do not need a sheet built for Kakobuy to use Kakobuy. Any spreadsheet, including your Mulebuy one, becomes a Kakobuy sheet after conversion, since every row is a marketplace listing underneath.
Who Kakobuy suits best
Most Kakobuy searches come from Poland (79%), the US (6%), Germany (3%). Italian buyers are a small minority here, so check the Italian line yourself. With 4.1 from 281 reviews on Trustpilot there is enough history to judge, so read the newest comments about dispute handling criticised; no fee schedule before a big haul.
Before your first Kakobuy order
- Test support with a size question before a big order.
- Write down the return window; Mulebuy's five days caught many buyers out.
- Use trial packing on bulky parcels so the shipping quote matches the box.
- Keep stays short: the less time items sit with Kakobuy, the less you can lose.
No agent is permanent. If Kakobuy ever shows the warning signs Mulebuy did, such as automated-only replies, stalled refunds and a sudden wave of one-star reviews, stop topping up, ship what you can and convert your links again. The status board records each agent's last check date.
