On 9 August 2026, the moderation team of r/FashionReps published a pinned journal describing a local-government investigation and raid at Mulebuy's warehouse, with photos. Importantly, the moderators themselves described the alleged cause as rumoured. Within days, the same claims appeared on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram, often with the word "confirmed" added that the original post did not use. Around the same time Mulebuy's own subreddit was reported to have gone private.

Looking back from October, the stuck-order reports that appeared on Reddit in early August were early and accurate: Trustpilot shows the same pattern from 13 August onwards, and reviewers from many countries describe the same symptoms. What Reddit could not establish is why. There is still no authority statement, court record or company explanation. Theories about the cause, such as claims that Mulebuy became involved in supplying goods, remain speculation, as the Medium writer who repeated one of them said himself.
