How Mulebuy's quality check worked
When an item reached Mulebuy's warehouse, staff photographed it and the photos appeared against the order in your account. The photos were free. Buyers commonly described four or five of them, taken within roughly a day, and independent reviewers called QC speed Mulebuy's most-praised feature. If something was wrong, such as the wrong colour, a visible defect or the wrong size tag, you could ask for a return or exchange. The window was short: about five days from storage, and you normally paid the postage back to the seller.
Italian buyers searched for this more than anyone, with "qc mulebuy" and "quality check mulebuy" together at about 350 searches a month. That makes sense: a good QC habit is the only quality control you get when buying through an agent.
QC photos are your one look at the real item; Mulebuy's were fast, and the return window was tight.
What to look for in a QC photo
- Is it the right item? Compare shape, colour and details with the listing photos you chose, not with what you hoped for.
- Is it the right size? Zoom into the size tag. If the seller's chart matters, ask for a photo with a tape measure across the chest or along the insole.
- Is anything damaged? Look for stains, loose seams, scuffs on shoes, broken zips and missing parts such as laces or straps.
- Do colours look plausible? Warehouse lighting shifts colours. If the shade matters, ask for a photo in daylight or next to a white sheet.
- Is the packaging needed? Shoe boxes add volumetric weight. Decide now whether to remove them before shipping.
Ask for extra photos the same day the first set arrives. On most agents extra photos cost a small fee per photo; it is cheap compared with an item you cannot return.

When QC photos do not arrive
Since late August 2026, some Mulebuy buyers report orders marked "warehouse received" with no photos and the item missing from the warehouse tab. That is not a normal QC delay. Normal delays are a day or two around Chinese public holidays. A received order with no photos and no reply for weeks is part of the wider problem described on the status page.

Reusing old Mulebuy QC on a new agent
Old QC photos are valuable when you move. If you liked an item you bought through Mulebuy, save its QC photos and the size you chose. Convert the old link to the original listing with the link converter, order the same item on your new agent, and compare the new photos with the old ones. Sellers change suppliers and materials; a difference you can see side by side is easy to miss from memory.
Several public QC finders show other buyers' warehouse photos for a listing before you order. Their coverage varies by agent, and none covers everything. Use them as extra evidence, not as a guarantee.
Your old Mulebuy photos are the best benchmark for reordering the same item.

Most agents now include free photos on every item, so QC alone rarely decides between them. What differs is the number of free photos, the price of extras, video options and the length of the return window. Asking for measurements
When size matters, ask the warehouse for a measurement photo: a tape across the chest of a top, along the length of a jacket, or inside a shoe from heel to toe.
