Mulebuy reviews read by date: two years of praise, then a month of one-star warnings

Checked and edited .

Short version: Mulebuy's Trustpilot page still says 4.7 from 2,962 reviews, but nearly every review since 13 August 2026 is one star, describing stuck orders, destroyed items and unpaid withdrawals, and none appear after 11 September. Read reviews by date, not average. Then shop the same kind of finds elsewhere: 10,000+ real-photo products at Taobao and Weidian prices.

The headline number and why it misleads right now

On 4 October 2026 Mulebuy's Trustpilot page showed a TrustScore of 4.7 from 2,962 reviews. Of those, 84% were five stars, 10% four stars and 4% one star, and 1,804 had been posted in the last twelve months. On paper that is one of the best profiles of any shopping agent. It is also the profile of the Mulebuy that existed until early August 2026.

A star average is a long memory. Each new review moves it only a little, so a company with thousands of happy reviews can stop delivering for a month and still show 4.7. That is exactly what happened here. If you only glance at the score, you see a top-rated agent. If you sort by most recent, you see a warning.

For any agent, the newest twenty reviews tell you more than the average.

What buyers praised before August 2026

Reading the older reviews, a few themes repeat. QC photos arrived fast, often within a day of an item reaching the warehouse, and in good quality. Parcels were packed carefully, and buyers liked being able to combine orders from several sellers into one box. Several mentioned UPS and express lines arriving within a week or two. The image search in the app got specific praise, as did agents assigned to individual accounts who answered questions. Independent reviewers at the time ranked Mulebuy among the best-rated agents for the same reasons.

Even then, the complaints had a pattern worth knowing: international shipping was expensive, the shipping estimate shown when ordering could be far below the price once the parcel was weighed, and the return window was short. One reviewer in early August described an estimate of $64 for 3.3 kg that became more than $200 at the warehouse, by which point the five-day refund window had passed while support did not reply.

The old praise was real; so was the old warning about shipping estimates.

The August to September review timeline

Date postedStarsWhat the reviewer described
13 Aug 20261A week without a human reply; only an automated answer promising contact within 12 hours
15 Aug 20261Warns others not to order, citing the warehouse raid reports
18 Aug 20261A paid order with no update for over a week; Italian reviewer
20–21 Aug 20261Batches stuck since July; a £123 withdrawal deducted but not received
22–23 Aug 20261Refund waiting over a month; missing items in a delivered parcel; no after-sales replies
30–31 Aug 20261Parcel stuck at "being packaged" for a month; QC photos missing for received orders
2 Sep 20261Four orders stuck at "seller shipped" for a month; tickets unanswered
11 Sep 20261Items "destroyed" two months after a shipping request

A handful of five-star reviews also appear in August, mostly for orders delivered before or around the start of the trouble. After 11 September there is nothing. When a busy agent goes quiet on review sites after a burst of complaints, the likeliest reason is that fewer people are ordering, not that the problems stopped.

The recent reviews are consistent, first-hand and specific, which is why we treat them as strong evidence.

How to read any agent's reviews before trusting it

  • Sort by most recent. Look at the last month, not the score.
  • Look for repeated specifics. Three reviews describing the same stuck status mean more than ten vague one-liners.
  • Check how the company replies. Mulebuy had replied to about 56% of negative reviews; after August the replies stopped.
  • Notice invitation labels. Companies that invite every customer collect more positive reviews; that is allowed, but it inflates averages.
  • Cross-check outside the review site. Reddit, Discord and our status board help confirm a pattern.

The same method applied to the agents people are moving to is on the alternatives page, and the legitimacy question is covered in is Mulebuy legit.

Recent, specific and repeated: that is what makes a review pattern worth acting on.

Reviews in other languages

Mulebuy's audience was international, and the review wave shows it: reviewers from Italy, Spain, Denmark, Slovakia, Romania, the UK, Australia and the US all describe the same problems in August. Italian buyers search for "mulebuy recensioni" more than English speakers search for reviews at all; our Italian review page covers the same timeline in Italian. French buyers search "mulebuy avis", and the pattern on French-language reviews matches.

If your own Mulebuy experience in the last few weeks was good, that is useful information too. A dated review saying a parcel arrived in September would be the first sign that the warehouse is moving again, and we would update our status accordingly.

The warnings come from many countries at once, which makes a local glitch an unlikely explanation.

Screenshots of your own Mulebuy order history are worth more than any review page if you later need to dispute a payment, so save them while the account still opens.

Questions readers ask

Are Mulebuy's good reviews fake?

We have no evidence of that. Mulebuy invited customers to review, which raises the number of positive reviews on any company, and Trustpilot screens reviews automatically. The positive reviews describe a service that matched other sources at the time.

What do bad Mulebuy reviews say?

Before August: expensive shipping, estimates far below the final price, a short return window and slow support in some cases. After mid-August: orders not moving, withdrawals missing, items destroyed and no human replies.

Where else can I read Mulebuy reviews?

Reddit threads and Discord servers carry first-hand reports, though they are harder to date and verify. Italian buyers search 'mulebuy recensioni'; we have an Italian version of this page.

Should I post a review?

Yes, if you have a recent experience. Dated, specific reviews are what warned many buyers in August.
